HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE UPROOTED CHEF
The Uprooted Chef was born out of my love of travel and exploration of the cuisines of this big beautiful world. I hope to be able to provide you recipes for delicious and approachable whole food meals with a worldly flair.
First things first, my name is Matt, and I live in Plano, Texas with my wife Rebecca, our daughter Scarlette (Scottie) & our fluffy golden retriever Jeter. We've lived in Plano since 2019, prior to that we lived in Cologne, Germany for 2 years where we had the chance to travel around much of Europe.
The Uprooted Chef is a part time project for myself, for my "day job" I work in risk advisory for a large international accounting firm. I love cooking (obviously), a good wine, and hiking with the family. I grew up in San Antonio, TX, and my favorite meal all time is breakfast tacos, I'll eat 'em for breakfast, lunch ,or dinner, doesn't matter they are delicious.
